View/Change SID on Server 2008 and Windows 7

Today we’ll describe you how to change SID on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 using sysprep.
As you know New SID is not supported in Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. If you run NewSID on Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 machines you will get blue screen error message. Changing SID using sysprep utility is very simple as New SID tool. Follow the below simple steps to change the SID.

 Add Windows Server Backup Feature

Remove Default Mailbox Database and Move Arbitration Mailboxes

The mailbox database ‘DB01′ cannot be deleted.
 Error:
This mailbox database contains one or more mailboxes or arbitration mailboxes.
To get a list of all mailboxes in this database, run the command Get-Mailbox -Database <Database ID>. To get a list of all arbitration mailboxes in this database, run the command Get-Mailbox -Database <Database ID> -Arbitration. Before you can remove this mailbox database, you must disable, move, or remove user mailboxes and move arbitration mailboxes.

FIXED: Exchange Server 2010 Backup from Windows Server Backup fails with "The consistency check failed for the component ..."

Error Code:
This application will not be available for recovery from this backup. This consistency check failed for the component Microsoft Exchange Server\Microsoft Information Store\EX4\cc08f60d-e02f-47a0-b972e165fb50ec, Contact the application vendor for help in resolving.

Install System Center Configuration Manager 2012 Beta 2 Step by Step

Install SCCM 2012 Beta 2 Step by Step

Download SCCM 2012 Beta 2 setup from here

Prerequisites

IIS Requirement
Installing Features
Remote Differential Compression
Win RM IIS Extension


Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)


Add SCCM server to System Container with full permissions.


Extend Schema Extensions
Run extadsch application from SCCM installation folder (../SMSSETUP/BIN/X64)

Check "ExtADSch" log file in root directory.


Installing Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP2.
Download WSUS 3.0 SP2 from here

I will Install Administration Console only. We can setup installation through SCCM Management Console.




Install SQL Server 2008
SQL Server requirement

64-bit SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition or SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition SP1 with cumulative update 10 or greater.
SQL Server 2008 SP2 or SQL Server 2008 R2 are not supported in SCCM Beta 2.

SQL Server 2008 Express is supported on secondary sites only.
SQL server must run on the same computer as the secondary site server.

Run splash from SCCM 2012 Beta 2




Download .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 from here
Download .Net Framework 4.0 from here




Setup will download latest software updates from Microsoft.





If you are not installed SQL Server on above step you will receive below error.

SQL Error: Configuration Manager sites require SQL Server 2008 SP1 with Cumulative Update 10 or higher for site database operations to succeed. SQL Server 2008 SP2 and SQL Server R2 are not Supported. :-(
